Introduction & Features

OUR COMMITMENT:
To make the finest fiberglass products available

ProGlass products are constructed with "value-added" engineering. Each product is designed and constructed for extreme conditions. In an era where cost is the driving force, many fiberglass manufacturers are cutting every corner to attempt to market the cheapest box pads possible. This, however, results in substandard products for you.

ProGlass will not compromise. We will not manufacture products that are questionable in nature. We are dedicated to providing you the finest product at the lowest procurable cost.

The fiberglass products you are currently installing may be self-destructing from the day of
installation because of substandard raw materials and high filler loading used in the resin
compounds. This could mean costly replacements or even failure problems for your company.

We use flame retardant resin in the manufacture of our box pads and groundsleeves. We also utilize a laminate schedule alternating two layers of 24 ounce woven roving with two layers of 1.5 ounce chopped fiberglass and resin mixture, creating a strong laminate with the highest glass reinforcement content in the industry.

GENERAL FEATURES

  • All Fiberglass construction prevents conductivity of electrical currents
  • C-Type Fiberglass and pure resin mix provides excellent resistance to corrosive
    elements in surrounding grade
  • High strength - Light weight - With the highest glass reinforcement content in the industry
  • Exclusive use of double layers of 24oz. woven roving reinforcement cloth
  • Tapered for nesting to reduce storage yard requirements
  • Reinforced ribs at measured intervals for resistance to deflection due to applied transformer weight

QUALITY BY DESIGN

Special care is taken to insure the distinct quality of our products. Using a female mold with our unique built-in ribbing and design, we roll out an initial layer of chopped fiberglass combined with flame retardant resin. Over this comes the first layer of 24 ounce woven roving. These two steps are then repeated, creating this most durable fiberglass groundsleeve.

U.V. PROTECTION

Finally, we finish our products by coating them with one of the industry's finest U.V. protectant gel coats available - Munsel Green 7GY. This increases the longevity of the product and allows ProGlass to present the electrical industry with the FINEST FIBERGLASS GROUNDSLEEVES possible!
